AnswEr :
• Mass of HNO₃ present in 100 ml of solution is 7g.
GivEn :
• 5% of is dissolved in 100 mL of solution.
• Density = 1.4 g/mL
To find :
• Mass of dissolved in 100 mL of solution = ?
Solution :
Let us assume that volume of the solution be x .
Now,
Accordingly density is given,
So,
Now,
As we have got the volume(x), which means ,
- 71.4 ml = 5g of HNO₃
It means that, mass of HNO₃ present in 100 ml of solution is 7g !!

★ Additional Information :
• The density of an object or body is equal to its total mass divided by its total volume !!
• In simple terms, density is a measure of mass per volume .
Where,
- = density
- m = mass
- V = volume
