Faraday's constant, F= 96500 C/mol

Using Faraday's Law of induction,

W= Zit......... (i)

Where,

W= mass of the magnesium deposited at the cathode

Z= electrochemical equivalence= ( atomic mass of magnesium0) / (nF)

Subsituting value in eq. (i), we get W= [24.305/2*96500]*1.5*1200=

43749/193000= 0.226 g
