Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

(c) Fe₂(S₂O₃)₃

● Explanation -

When few drops

of ferric chloride are added to a solution of sodium thiosulphate, ferric thiosulphate is formed which gives it violet colour.

3 Na₂S₂O₃ + 2 FeCl₃ --> Fe₂(S₂O₃)₃ + 6 NaCl

Hence, the violet colour is due to the formation of Fe₂(S₂O₃)₃.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you..
