5 percent mass means 5 g of sugar for 100 g of solution..
for 250 g solution...
it is 250 × 5/100 = 250 × 1/20 = 12.5 g

UdayG: simple formula remember it .
UdayG: for a it is b..for c it is d...then d is given by c/a ×b
UdayG: eg...for 100 rupees(a) we get 2(b) apples
UdayG: then for 200 rupees(c) if it is d..
UdayG: then d = c/a × b i.e 200/100 × 2 i.e 4
UdayG: so simple example
