Mass of solute=3mg=0.003g

Mass of solution=1000g

Ppm= mass of solute/mass of solution ×10^6 ( 10 power 6)

= 0.003/1000 ×1000000

=0.003×1000

=3Ppm

Ppb= mass of solute/mass of solvent×10^9

= 0.003/1000×1000000000

= 0.003×1000000

=300Ppb
