See diagram enclosed.

First make a table of points for each straight line. find y for x = 0,1,2,-1, etc.  Find the point at which  y = 0 too.

Area formed by the lines L1 and L2 with X-axis is the triangle OAB.
Area = 1/2* height * base OB = 1/2 * 3 * 5/4 = 15/8

Area formed by the lines L1 and L@ with the Y - axis is the triangle OAC.
Area = 1/2 * base OC * height = 1/2* 5 * 2 = 5

Ratio of area on Y axis / area on X axis = 5 /(15/8) = 8/3
