Time taken to reach back (t)= 2.4 s

Speed of sound (s) = 1560 m/s

Speed = Distance/Time

1560 = Distance/2.4

Distance = 1560×2.4

Distance = 3744 m

This was the distance of 2 way, then the original distance of one way = 3744/2

Distance = 1872 m

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

since distance = speed x time

and since sound travels to the depth of the sea and comes back

so the formula is 2d = v x t

2d= 1560 x 2.4

3744=2d

d=3744/2

= 1872m
