- Sound wave have one characteristics property which is known as frequency of sound.
- Frequency is number of oscillation per unit time.
- Unit of frequency is Hertz(Hz).
- Range of frequency of sound is divide into three category.
- If range of sound frequency is below 20 Hz, it is known as infrasonic
sound.
- If range of sound frequency is from 20 Hz to 20000 Hz, it is known as sonic sound.
- If range of sound frequency is above 20000 Hz, it is known as ultrasonic sound.
