Given:
frequency = 2 Hz
wavelength = 40 cm = 0.40 m
Distance = 1.6 km = 1.6 x 10^3 m
We have to find,
time = ??
Solution:
Velocity = frequency x Wavelength
Velocity = 2 x 0.40
Velocity = 0.8 m/s
Now,we know that,
time = distance/velocity
time = 1.6 x 10^3/0.8
time = 2 sec
Therefore, the sound will take 2 sec to travel 1.6 km.
Thanks...
