Calculate the velocity of the wave using the formula: (frequency of wave)x(wavelength)=(velocity of wave)

In this case, the velocity is:

In this case, the velocity is:v = [2*(10^3)]x[35/100] m/s

In this case, the velocity is:v = [2*(10^3)]x[35/100] m/sv = 700 m/s

Now, we know that (velocity)=(displacement)/(time)

therefore, displacement of the wave or the distance travelled by it is given by:

d = 700*2 m =1400m✔

Given,

Wavelength = 35 cm

Frequency = 2kHz

Speed of the sound wave = Wavelngth × Frequency

= 0.35 × 2000

= 700m/s

Now,

Speed = 700m/s

Distance = 2km = 2000m

Time = Distance/speed

= 2000/700

= 2 sec (approx)

This is the correct solution sis with exact values..

Hope it helps...
