Given,

speed of sound wave = 350 m/s

wavelength of wave = 0.25

To find,

The displacement of the sound wave with 350 m/s speed

Solution,

The speed of sound wave formula is given as,

v = f × λ

where,

v = speed of sound

f = frequency of sound wave

λ = wavelength of sound

In 1 millisecond, the wavelength of wave is 7/4 (according to figure)

Therefore, frequency = 7/4 Hz

10⁻³ second = 7/4 × 10⁻³ oscillations

v = f × λ

350 = 7/4 × 10⁻³ × λ

λ = 350 ÷ (7/4 × 10⁻³)

λ = 0.2 m

Therefore the wavelength of sound is approximately 0.2 m.
