the source is producing 1500 waves in 3 seconds

it means it produces 500 waves in 1 second

so the frequency is 500Hz

Given that the distance between a compression and a adjacent rarefaction is 68cm

that is λ/2=.68cm

λ=136m  so wavelength =1.36m

velocity is given by v=υλ

v=500*1.36

v=680m/s

so the velocity is 680m/s

Answer:

Wavelength= 68cm

Distance=850m

Time=2.5 sec

1) Velocity=distance/ time taken=850/2.5=340 m/s

2)Frequency=Velocity/ Wavelength= 340/.68= 500Hz
