In 6 seconds, 1800 waves are produces.
So in 1 second, there will be 300 waves.
So frequency = 300 Hz
Let wavelength of that wave = x
So, distance between compression and adjacent rarefaction in terms of wavelength = x/2 = 55 cm
therefore, x = 110 cm = 1.1 m
Speed of a wave = (wavelength)(frequency)
= (1.1)(300)
= 330 m/s
So in 1 second, there will be 300 waves.
So frequency = 300 Hz
Let wavelength of that wave = x
So, distance between compression and adjacent rarefaction in terms of wavelength = x/2 = 55 cm
therefore, x = 110 cm = 1.1 m
Speed of a wave = (wavelength)(frequency)
= (1.1)(300)
= 330 m/s
