A South African High Court has declared the governments lockdown regulation for level 4 and 3 unconstitutional and therefore invalid. Assess the implications that this judgement could hold for the Government .

Both the government and the High court are correct in there own way.

The government wants to extend the lockdown so that the citizens are safe.

At the same time, The high court is right as it's duty is to save the constitutional rights and the lockdown means that there should be limited movement. So, it violates the fundamental right 'Right to Move'.

But the government is enforcing lockdown due to a pandemic and is still allowing movements for essential services and the lockdown can save the lives of many people, So the government is right.

In India, There is a law, Named Epidemic Act which gives government the power to enforce strict lockdown amid pandemic like COVID19.
