The space beyond Earth's atmosphere is dark because there is no scattering of light....

As there is presence of particles in the earths atmosphere , there is scattering of light which makes it colorful or blue....

And due to the lack of scattering particles beyond the crust (or the end of the atmosphere) there is no scattering and therefore it is dark in colour....

But according to practical knowledge , it is observed that Blue light is scattered to the max. extent...
