I am not very sure, but I would answer "a document editor" software. The document may contain simple text or graphics or software program , multiple media. The editor program helps in creation of such a document, giving name to it, modifying it etc.

It is a specialized software because it can only deal with a particular type (or some types) of documents.

Perhaps there is another answer. ?? Not sure.

For software development purposes there is a version management software. This specialized software allows creation, editing, manipulations and maintenance of documents of some types of documents. This version management software is a groupware. It in turn makes use of multiple softwares for editing and maintenance of documents.
