• In the 17th century A.D. the Pahari Miniature Painting School was founded. Such pictures come from the North India realms, the Himalayas. The Pahari style of art flourished in Jammu and Garhwal from the 17th to the 19th centuries inspired by the Mughal Style and the Rajasthani Miniature Painting Style. Several other schools originated from the Pahari School of Paintings. Guler School,Garhwal School,  Basohli School, the Kangra School, and the Chamba School  are some of Pahari's most significant schools of paintings.
