Honourable Judges, Teachers, Guests and all my dear friends. Thank you for allowing me to speak on National Science Day. You know Science Day is celebrated every year on 28th February. But why? What is the aim of Science Day? and What’s our Duty for this nation? Okay
National Science Day is celebrated all over India with great enthusiasm on 28th of February every year to remember the great invention by the Indian physicist Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman of the Raman Effect on the same day in the year 1928. For his great success, he was awarded Nobel Prize in the Physics in the year 1930

On this day, all Indian show their Dignity and Respect to the famous Indian physicist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman to mark the discovery of the Raman effect. National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to remember his discovery and giving an opportunity to the Indian youth.
Let us know about CV Raman in brief. CV Raman was born on 7 November 1888 at Tiruchirapalli (Madras Presidency). His father was a lecturer in Maths and Physics. He was a Tamil Brahmin and first one in the science, who had researched such invention in India. Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman had worked from 1907 to 1933 at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata during which he had researched on many topics of the Physics from which theRaman Effect (effect on scattering of light when passing through different materials) became his great success and discoverywhich has been marked in the Indian history.
Every Year National Science Day has a Theme at which we focus more. Yes, it is overall a national science day, but we do focus on some particular things on every science day. So take a look at the themes of National Science Day of previous ten years.
The last year theme was Science and Technology for the Specially-abled person are standing here for giving more opportunities, more support to the specially abled (they don’t use here disable because every disable person is specially abled in some field) students or and the scientific issues in ordinary people mind is the central aspect of this themeWhat are the Objectives/Aim of Celebrating National Science DayTo aware people about the importance of scientific applications in the daily life.To display the all the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for human welfare.To discuss all the issues and new technologies of science.To give an opportunity to the next youth, girls, women.To encourage the people as well as popularize the Science and Technology.
