       Tolerance and human fraternity

Tolerance is a must for human fraternity; without it the family of humanity is like a family wherein all members are living with indifference to one another. Tolerance is a prerequisite for all types of societies and nations to evolve into better societies and nations. Tolerance creates an atmosphere for development, prosperity, and progress.

First of all let’s understand what tolerance is. Tolerance is acceptance of other people’s views, ideas, faiths, religion, etc. Intolerance is the root cause of all the problems existing in the world. In Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Myanmar or any part of the world where there is unrest of any type, intolerance is behind all this.

If the world is to be more peaceful, progressive each and every individual living on the planet earth will have to adopt tolerant attitude towards one another. All we need is deeper insight into life. We will find everything has originated form one CAUSE – God.

The need of the hour is to practice the values of tolerance and mutual respect. We must not perfect the rich and all-encompassing values of universal brotherhood.

In place of harbouring any anger or grudge against anyone or any nation, we must develop a caring and understanding attitude to the person or nation we are in conflict with. In case there is any misunderstanding, grudge or grievance, the nations in conflict must resolve it on discussion table at UN. Peace cannot be had by obdurately sticking to any one religious tenets or principles. The nations in conflict must be willing to resolve the issues through forbearance and comprehensive outlook. We must develop a more spiritual outlook on life be tolerant.
