Bharat Scouts and Guides Chhattisgarh President Brijmohan Agrawal, National vice-president Satyanarayan Sharma and working president were present at the Raj Bhawan during the occasion.Governor Tandon said, “the vision of the founder of Bharat Scouts and Guides Sir Rober Beden-Powell was inspiring and praise-worthy. The institution was established in the entire world.’’ He added, “the principles should be inculcated in daily life. We should ponder how far we are able to inspire the society’’.

Governor stated that natural disasters strike in such a large country at regular intervals but the Bharat Scouts and Guides always served the society in a selfless manner. They inspire patriotism in the masses and accept the challenges. He promised that a training centre will be opened in the State soon.

Bharat Scouts and Guides Chhattisgarh president Brijmohan Agrawal said that Scouts and Guides is such an international organisation that patriotism is instilled in every individual. He added that during national calamities and crisis, the organisation rose to the challenges and served the nation. He wished that in times to come Bharat Scouts and Guides will bring laurels to the State.

Bharat Scouts and Guides Chhattisgarh State Chief Director G. Swami gave the welcome and concluding speech. Chhattisgarh Scouts and Guides was founded on 7 November 2000.
