A speedboat is moving along a straight line at a speed of 54km/h stops in 5 seconds after the brakes are applied.
[a] Find the acceleration assuming it to be constant.

given
u=54km/h=(54x5/18)m/s=15m/s
v=0
t=5s
we know
a=(v-u)/t
a=(0-15)/5
a=--3 ms^{-2}

graph-see the attachment
