A speedboat starts from rest and accelerates at 2m/s^2 for 7s. How far did the boat get? Provide numerical answer and units respectively.

Given:-

  • Initial velocity of speedboat = 0m/s

  • Acceleration of speedboat = 2m/s²

  • Time taken = 7s

To Find:-

  • The Distance Covered by boat.

Formulae used:-

  • s = ut + ½ × a × t²

Where,

  • s = Distance
  • u = Initial velocity
  • a = Acceleration
  • t = Time.

Now,

→ s = ut + ½ × a × t²

→ s = 0 × 7 + ½ × 2 × (7)²

→ s = 0 + 49

→ s = 49m.

Hence, The Distance Covered by the speedboat is 49m.
