A sphere contracts in volume by 0.01% when taken to the bottom of sea 1 km deep. If the density of sea water is 10^3 kg m^−3 , find the bulk modulus of
the material of the sphere.

volume = V
change in volume = 0.01/100 V = 0.0001V
change in pressure = 1000*10*1000 = 10^7 Pa

Bulk modulus = ΔP*(V/ΔV) = 10^7 * (V/0.0001V) = 10^11 Pa

Bulk modulus is 10^11 Pascal or 100GPa
