The ratio of radius of sphere and the radius of cylinder is equal to 1.

  • Given :

A sphere is placed inside a cylinder such that the sphere touches the top bottom and the curved surface of the cylinder.

  • Therefore, the diameter of the sphere is equal to the diameter of the base of the cylinder as the sphere touches the boundary of the cylinder.
  • Hence,

radius (sphere) = radius (cylinder)

  • Ratio will be equal to:

radius (sphere) / radius (cylinder) = 1
