Answer:
The level of water will raise in the vessel is ⅚ cm.
Step-by-step explanation:
SOLUTION :
Given :
Diameter of the sphere = 5 cm
radius of the sphere ,r = d/2 = 5/2 cm
Diameter of the cylindrical vessel = 10 cm
Radius of the cylindrical vessel ,R = 10/2 = 5 cm
Let h cm be the level of water rise.
When the sphere is completely submerged into the vessel, the level of water will be raise.Therefore,
Volume of the water raised in the cylindrical vessel = Volume of the sphere
πR²h = 4/3 × πr³
5² × h = 4/3 × (5/2)³
25 × h = 4/3 × 125/8
h = 4 × 125/ (25 × 3 × 8)
h = ⅚ cm
Hence, the level of water raised in the vessel is ⅚ cm.
