A sphere of diameter 6 cm is dropped into a cylindrical vessel which is partly filled with water. the diameter of the cylindrical vessel is 12 cm. if the sphere is completely immersed in water, by how much will the water level in the cylinder rise

volume of sphere = 4/3*22/7*3*3
                            = 88*9/7
volume of water risen = volume of sphere
                2*22/7*6*h  = 88*9/7
therefore ,                 h = 3
