A sphere of mass 25kg is moving at a speed
of 1.5 m/s undergoes collision
with another
sphere of mass
50kg moving at 3 m/s in
the same direction, find the velocity of
50kg mass
in m/s after collision when
the collision is elastic(irrelevent answer will be reported)

Answer:

● points before solving:-

  • momentum is conserved during collision
  • the value of e is 1 for elastic collision
  • that means velocity of separation = velocity of approach
  • no energy loss occurs during elastic collision

now solve....

...

velocity of 50 kg after collision is 2m/s

hope it clears doubt...

Good luck ♧♧
