A sphere of mass 50 g is suspended by a cord from the
roof of a lift when lift is moving upward with uniform
velocity, then tension in the cord is : (g = 10 m/s2)​

T= wt. of the sphere = 0.05 × 10 = 0.5 N

Explanation:

As the lift is moving with uniform Velocity

acc. is zero

so net acc. on the sphere = g only.....

And Tension would be equal to wt of the sphere bcoz wt of the sphere is the force by which the cord is stretched and tension is generated.
