The surface density of charge of the sphere is 999.8 C/ m².

  • The radius of sphere ( r ) = 5 cm

                                                  = 5x10⁻² m

  • Thus, Area ( a ) = 314.16x10⁻⁴ m²
  • Charge of sphere ( q ) = 31.41 micro Coulomb

                                             = 31.41 x 10⁻⁶ C

  • Therefore, The surface density of charge = q / a

                                                      = 31.41 x 10⁻⁶ C/ 314.16x10⁻⁴ m²

                                                      = 999.8 C/ m²
