A sphere touches all the sides of a cube of side 12 cm. What is the radius of the sphere?​

To find:

Radius of the sphere

Solution:

If the sphere touches all the sides of the cube, then its centre must lie at the centre of the cube.

If the sphere lies at the centre and touches the sides of the cube then its radius must be half of the side of the cube.

Radius of sphere = 12 cm/ 2 = 6 cm

Therefore the radius of the sphere will be 6 cm.
