Density of sphere is 0.357 g/cm³  (approx 0.36 g/cm³)

Given:

Mass of the sphere = 12 g

And radius of sphere r = 2 cm

To find:

Density of the sphere

Solution:

The formula for density is given by  ρ = m /v

where ρ - density of sphere

            m - mass of sphere

            V - volume of sphere

We know mass of sphere = 12 g

Now find volume of sphere

Volume of sphere with radius (r) = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^{3}

⇒ Volume of given sphere = \frac{4}{3} (\frac{22}{7} ) 2^{3} = 33.52

= (1.333)(3.14)(8) = 33.52 cm³

Density of sphere = 12 / 33.52 = 0.357 g/cm³   (approx 0.36 g/cm³)
