Solution;-

Curved surface area of the spherical ball = 2πr²
⇒ 2*3.14*r² = 56.57
⇒ r² = 56.57/(2*3.14)
⇒ r² = 9 (Approx)
⇒ r = cm

Volume of the spherical ball = 4/3πr³
= 4/3*3.14*3*3*3
= 113.04 cu cm

Answer:

The surface area of a sphere is

4πr2

So half a sphere is 2πr2

If the surface area of half a sphere is 56.57 cm2, we can solve for the radius, r.

56.57 = 2(3.14)r2

r2 = 9

r = 3

Now the volume of a sphere is v = 4/3 πr3

v = 4/3 (3.14)(33) = 113,04 cm3
