diameter of the spherical ball = 24cm
→ it's radius = 24/2 = 12cm
volume of the speherical ball = 4/3πr³
= 4/3 × 22/7 × 12 × 12 × 12
= 44/7 × 4 × 12 × 12
= 25344/7cm³
now according to the question, the ball is melted and casted into two cylinder of equal size and shape having base radius 8 cm.
formula for the volume of a cylinder = πr²h
for two cylinders = 2πr²h
→ 2πr²h = volume of the spherical ball
→ 2πr²h = 25344/7cm³
→ 2 × 22/7 × 8 × 8 × h = 25344/7cm³
→ 2816/7 × h = 25344/7cm³
→ h = 25344/7 × 7/2816
→ h = 9cm
hence, the height of each cylinder is 9cm.
