By the way my initial is also VANGALA..

As the image is formed in front of the mirror, it is a concave mirror.

u = −12 cm

v = −48 cm

Magnification m = −v/u = −48 /12 = −4

The image is magnified. It is real and inverted.

hope this may be helpfull..

Identify the nature of mirror : concave

Is the image magnified or diminished : enlarged

State whether the image formed is real or virtual: real

Is the image formed erect or inverted: erect

In the above situation , u= ? nd v=___ ? what is u, what is v ?

Calculate focal length: with di = image distance, do = object distance

1/di + 1/du = 1/f

1/12 + 1/48 = 1/f

f = 48/5

Calculate magnification:

Magnification = di/do = 48/12 = 4 fold

If the object size is 5mm.

Calculate the size of image formed: 20 mm
