1) It is a concave mirror.

2) m= -1 , U= -50cm
m= -V/U
Therefore,
-1= -V/-50
=> V= -50cm

3) 1/V+1/U=1/f
=> 1/-50+1/-50=1/f
=> 1/-25=1/f
Therefore f= -25cm

Hope this helps:)

Answer:

As magnification is in negative the image will be  down the principle axis compared to the object and will form in Concave Mirror.

Explanation:

From the above question,

They have given :

A spherical mirror produces an image of magnification -1 on a screen placed at a distance of 50 cm from the mirror.

Here we need to find,

(a) Write the type of mirror.

As magnification is in negative the image will be  down the principle axis compared to the object and will form in Concave Mirror.

(b) Find the distance of the image from the object.

The distance of image from the object is zero, real and inverted image of the same size is formed at the same place where object is placed.

(c) What is the focal length of the mirror ?

Spherical mirror has a radius of curvature R and a focal length

F = \frac{R}{2}

F = 25 Cm

(d) Draw the ray diagram to show the image formation in this case.
