A spherical water balloon is revolving at 60 rpm. in the course of time, 48.8% of its water leaks out. with what frequency will the remaining balloon revolve not? neglect all non-conservative forces.
can anyone answer??

Answer:

3.052 rps

Explanation:

m1/m2 =v1/v2=r1/r2 (coz all non conservative forces are neglected so linear momentum remains constant mvr remains constant )

but the object is a sphere so r3 is used

r1/r2= (m1/m2)*1/3

also m1/m2 is 100 ÷ 100-48.8

100/51.2

1 ÷"0.512

(m1/m2)^1/3 is 1/0.8 = 1.25

spheres moment of inertia is 2/5 mr2

m1/m2 ×(r1/r2 )^2 =(m1/m2 )^5/3

by conservation of linear momentum we get I1W1 =I2W2
