A spherically ball of volume 720 cubic cm is immersed in a half filled tank with length 20cm, breadth 12cm and height 14cm. Find the rise in the water level?

 {\mathfrak{\underline{\purple{Solution:}}}}

As we know,

 \fbox{Volume of cuboid = L × W × H}

So, the volume of half filled tank will be  \frac{(20×12×14)}{2}

 \implies{\frac{3360}{2}}

 \bold{\implies{1680cm³}}

Now, volume of the ball = 720cm³

Hence,  20 × 12 × h = 1680 + 720

 \implies{240h = 2,400}

 \bold{\implies{h = 10}}

Now, finding the rise in water level:-

 \implies{h - 10}

 \implies{14 - 10}

 \bold{\red{\implies{3cm \: (Ans)}}}
