r=7.5

angle of circle=360°

area of circle=22/7r^2

area of sector= 0/360×22/7r^2(here 0=angle subtended)

6/360°=60°

so,

60°/360×22/7×r^2

1/6×3.14×(7.5)^2=176.625 cm^2

Given:

The radius of spinner=7.5cm

Sectors=6

To find:

The area of each of the six sectors

Solution:

The area of each one of the sectors is 29.46 cm^{2}.

The spinner has been divided into 6 sectors that are equal.

So, the area of each sector has to be the spinner's area's 1/6th.

The required area of sector=1/6 of the area of the spinner

Now, the spinner's radius is R=7.5 cm.

So, the spinner's areaR^{2}

Using the values,

=22/7×7.5^{2}

=22/7×7.5×7.5

=22/7×75/10×75/10

=22×75×75/700

=176.78 cm^{2}

We will use this value to calculate the sector's area.

The required area of sector=1/6×176.78

=176.78/6

=29.46 cm^{2}

Therefore, the sector's area is 29.46 cm^{2}.
