Given:

A sprinter starts from rest and uniformly accelerates at a rate of 2 m/s² for 5.0 seconds.

To find:

Final velocities of man ?

Calculation:

Since the acceleration is constant, we can easily apply the equations of kinematics in order to solve this question.

  • Let final velocity be v, initial velocity be u, acceleration be a and time be t.

Applying 1st Equation of Kinematics:

  \sf\therefore \: v = u + at

 \sf \implies  \: v = 0 + (2 \times 5)

 \sf \implies  \: v = 0 + 10

 \sf \implies  \: v =  10 \: m/ {s}^{2}

So, final velocity of sprinter is 10 m/s.
