weight of an object= 19.6 N
m* g=19.6 N
m*9.8= 19.6 N
m=19.6/9.8
m=2 kg
= 2000 g
hope it helps you...

Given:

  • Force = 19.6 N

To Find:

  • The mass of the spring balance.

Solution:

We know that,

F = m×a → {equation 1}

Where "F" is the force, "m" is the force, and "a" is the acceleration(9.8 m/s^2). We took acceleration equal to the gravity here.

On substituting the values in equation 1 we get,

⇒ 19.6 = m × 9.8

Rearranging the above equation in terms of "m".

⇒ m = 19.6/9.8 {dividing the terms}

⇒ m = 2 Kg = 2000 g { 1 kg = 1000 g}

∴ The mass of the spring balance = 2000 g.
