When the lift was stationary
mg = 49 N
m = 49 N / (9.8 m/s²)
= 5 kg
When lift moves downward then
F = m(g - a)
= 5 kg × (9.8 - 5) m/s²
= 24 N
Reading of spring will be 24 N
mg = 49 N
m = 49 N / (9.8 m/s²)
= 5 kg
When lift moves downward then
F = m(g - a)
= 5 kg × (9.8 - 5) m/s²
= 24 N
Reading of spring will be 24 N
