a square and a rectangle are of the same perimeter length of a side of the square is 8 cm if the width of the rectangle is 6 cm find the length of the rectangle and hence find its its area

4a= 2(l+b)
4(8) =2(l+6)
32=2l+12
2l=32-12
2l=20
l=10cm
area= l×b
area=10×6
area=60sqcm is answer

Answer:

Area of square =area of rectangle

4a=2(l+b)

4(8)=2(l*6)

32=2l*12

2l=32-12

2l=20

l=20/2=10

area of rectangle=l*b

=10*6

=60cm²
