perimeter of square = 4*50
                                = 200m²
perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
200 = 2(70+b)
       = 140 + 2b
2b = 100 - 140 = 60
breadth = 60/2 = 30

Hi ,

length of the square garden = a = 50 m

length of the rectangular garden = l = 70m

let breadth of the rectangular garden = b m

according to the problem given ,

perimeter of rectangular garden = perimeter of

the square garden

2( l + b ) = 4a

l + b = 4a/2

l + b = 2a

70 + b = 2 × 50

70 + b = 100

b = 100 - 70

b = 30 m

Therefore ,

required breadth = b = 30m

I hope this helps you.
