Hi ,

Let side of a square garden ( a ) = 50m

Dimensions of rectangular garden :

length ( L ) = 70m

breadth = B m

according to the problem given ,

perimeter of a rectangle = perimeter of square

2( L + B ) = 4a

L + B = 2a

70 + B = 2 × 50

B = 100 - 70

B = 30 m

Now ,

area of a square = a²

= ( 50 )²

= 2500 m²

Area of the rectangle garden = L × B

= 70m × 30m

= 2100 m²

I hope this helps you.

Hiii friend,

Side of the square garden = 50 m

Perimeter of the square = 4 × Side = 4 × 50 = 200 m².

Length of rectangular garden = 70 m

Let the Breadth of the rectangular garden = X m.

According to question,

Perimeter of square garden = Perimeter of rectangular garden.

4 × Side = 2(L + B)

200 = 2(70+X)

70 + X = 100

X = 100-70 => 30 m

Therefore,

Length of rectangle = 70 m

And,

Breadth of rectangle = 30 m

Area of rectangle = L × B => 70 × 30 => 2100 m².

Side of square garden = 50 m

Area of square garden = (Side)² = (50)² => 2500 m².

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU..... :-)

Raghav3333: correct ans.
mysticd: Plz , edit units of perimeter .
