Required answer:-

Correct question:

A square and a rectangle have equal area.If each size of a square is 18 cm and the width of rectangle is 12 cm. Find the length of the rectangle.

Solution:

Given,

Length of each side of square = 18 cm

★Width of rectangle = 12 cm

To find:

★Length of rectangle

Formulas used:

★ Area of square = Side × Side or (side)²

★ Area of rectangle = (Length × Breadth)

Let length of rectangle be a ,

As according to the question

Area of square = Area of rectangle

That is,

→ \:  (18)²  \: = \:  12 × a  \\ </p><p>\: → 12a \:  = \: 324 \\</p><p>→a  \:=  \frac{324}{12}  \\ → \: a \:  =  \: 27

Hence, the length of the rectangle is 12 cm
