Given:-

  • Area of the square = Area of the rectangle.
  • Side of the square = 8 cm.
  • Width of the rectangle = 12 cm.

To Find:-

  • Length of the rectangle.

Formula:-

  • Area of the square = side × side sq. units .
  • Area of the rectangle = length × width sq. units.

Solution:-

Area of the square = side × side sq. units

= 8 × 8 sq. units = 64 sq. units .

So, Area of the rectangle is also 64 sq. units .

 \therefore \: Area \:   = length \:  \times width \\  \\  \implies \: 64 = 12 \times length \\  \\  \implies \: length \:   =  \frac{64}{12}  =  \frac{16}{3} cm

Answer :-

 \boxed{Length =  \frac{16}{3} cm}
