Answer:

let be take the ratio be x

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of square =perimeter of rectangle

4×12 = 2(7x+5x)

48/2= 12x

24/12=x

2=x

7x=7×2=14; 5x=5×2=10

area of rectangle =l x b

14×10=140m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

side of square = 12m

ratio of length and breadth of rectangle = 7:5

Also given, perimeter of square and rectangle are same..

Now,

perimeter of square = 4 × side = 4 × 12 = 48 m²

let us take , 7 : 5 = 7x and 5x

So,

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

So,

2(l+b) = 48 m² ( as the perimeter of square and rectangle are same)

2( 7x + 5x ) = 48

2( 12x ) = 48

24x = 48

x = 48 ÷ 24

x = 2 ....

l = 7x = 7 × 2 = 14..

b = 5x = 5× 2 = 10...

Now,

area of rectangle = l×b = 14 ×10 = 140 m².....
