A square and a rectangle have the same perimeter. Calculate the area of the rectangle if the side of the square is 60 cm and the length of the rectangle is 80 cm.​

Answer:

the perimeter of square is 4 * side

=60 * 4

=240cm

the perimeter of rect = 2l + 2b

240cm=2*80 + 2b

240cm= 160 + 2b

2b= 240-160=180

b=180/2=90cm

area of rect = l*b

area of rect = 80*60 =480cm. sq
