A square and a rectangle have the same perimeter. Will their areas be the same? Explain with an example.​

Perimeter of square=6×4=24cm

Area of square=6×6=36cm²

Let the sides of rectangle be 2cm and 10cm

Perimeter of rectangle=2×(2+10)cm=2×12=24cm

Area of rectangle=2×10=20cm²

As you can see that the perimeter is same but the area is different.
