Answer:

32 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{A square is a parallelogram because its opposite angles are equal.}\\\\\text{A square and a triangle lie on the same base and between the same parallels.}\\\\\text{This means that, area of square = 2 $\times$ area of triangle}\\\\\text{Area of square = $side^2 = 8^2 = 64 \: cm^2$}\\\\\text{But, area of square = 2 $\times$ area of triangle}\\\\\implies \text{area of triangle} = \dfrac{1}{2} \times \text{area of square}\\\\= \dfrac{1}{2} \times 64 \\

= \large \underline{\boxed{\boxed{\bold{32 \: cm^2}}}}

Hope it helps.

Given dimension of square = 8 Cm

Area of the square = Side² = 8cm² = 64cm²

As we know that if the triangle and the quadrilateral is having same base and same parallels , then the area of the triangle is half of the quadrilateral.

So :

Area of square (Quadrilateral) = 2 Area of triangle

Area of triangle = ½ Area of Quadrilateral

Area of triangle = 64/2 = 32 cm² .
